NGC2264 - The Cone Nebula

The Cone Nebula is an H II region in the constellation of Monoceros. The nebula is located about 2,700 light-years away from Earth. The Cone Nebula forms part of the nebulosity surrounding the Christmas Tree Cluster. The designation of NGC 2264 in the New General Catalogue refers to both objects and not the nebula alone.

La Nebulosa Cono è una regione H II nella costellazione dell'Unicorno. Si trova a circa 2.700 anni luce di distanza dalla Terra e fa parte della nebulosità che circonda l'ammasso Albero di Natale. La designazione di NGC 2264 si riferisce a entrambi gli oggetti e solo non la nebulosa. La ripresa si riferisce al 2013 ma ho rifatto l'elaborazione di recente.
